How it became the Signature Dress
The simple story of a mother who needed a breastfeeding-friendly dress that she could still feelcomfortableand lady-like.
A practical, functional and beautiful dress.
Regardless of whichever way she wore it or the occasion she wanted to where it to, it was the one dress that could literally do it all.
Hi, I'm Comfort Badaru Smithson, the mother mentioned in the story intro. :-)
After making that first dress, I went on to make a few more using the Batik fabrics I had in my fabric stash at that time.
Not long after, I started to get moe ladies asking after the dresses and then the light bulb moment came. I took all the wise advise and started to make more of the same dress design but using the different batik fabrics I had.
Since then it has only grown more and more. And it is my hope and dream that there will be more than 100+ Letasi Signature dress across the world one day. I hope as you read this you will be a proud owner of one of them. :-)
And that is pretty much a summary of how the signature dress came to be.
Its the pockets for me!
Its absolutely lovely. The pockets give me so much joy! And yet I can still wear heals and look casual formal.
